Mission Statement

UDII’s purpose is to build, support, expose and put a face to the growing lack of democracy and high level of corruption, bad governance, and nepotism in Uganda at the international level. We intend to do this by organizing political, civic and social awareness of the situation in Uganda at the local, national, and international level. The substantial part of UDII activities will consist of campaigning for democratic governance in Uganda, transparency and accountability in government, free and fair elections, and awareness and observance of human rights in Uganda, as proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the General Assembly of the United nations on 10 December 1948.

UDII will research and expose all the misdeeds of Museveni’s regime since 1986, and then inform and educate the world about their implications on the people of Uganda in particular and Africa in general.
